Cloaks On: Sunn O))) Announced Two New Albums with Steve Albini

Last summer, Sunn O))) (known for their doom/drone-inpsired maxed-out minimalism) spent over two weeks at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Steve Alibini using an all-analog technique. The result of these sessions are two albums set to release this year.

First, due to drop in April, is Life Metal via Southern Lord, and later in the fall will come the “more meditative” Pyroclasts.

The almighty Steve Albini has recently produced other doom metal bands, such as Neurosis, OM, and Weedeater.
